Şeker üretiminde yeni hedef 84 bin ton

Since 2018, Sukkar Şeker, operating under the Albayrak Group, has completed its preparations for the new production period. Sukkar Şeker aims to produce a total of 84,000 tons of granulated sugar in the 2023-2024 season. With 120,000 acres of land and a daily beet processing capacity of 6,400 tons, Sukkar Şeker contributes to domestic production. Starting off strong in the new season, Sukkar Şeker aims to produce 84,000 tons of granulated sugar by obtaining a commitment to a total of 560,000 tons of sugar beet for the 2023-2024 production season. With the production of 77,000 tons of sugar in the 2022-2023 season, Sukkar Şeker continues to increase the momentum of agricultural activities in the region. The company enhances the capacity to obtain the necessary raw materials with the increasing contribution of local farmers and has increased its production target by working with nearly 3,000 farmers this year. Sukkar Şeker’s General Manager, Necati Karavaizoğlu, emphasized his satisfaction with the new season’s production and stated, “We have started transporting sugar beets. Beet harvesting is currently underway on 108,000 acres of land. We achieved our goal by producing 77,000 tons of granulated sugar in the 2022-2023 production season. We have started the harvest by obtaining a commitment to 560,000 tons of sugar beet from nearly 3,000 farmers this year. Our new goal is to produce 84,000 tons of granulated sugar… I believe that, just like last year, we will achieve our goal this year.” The new production season began with the campaign opening at Sukkar Şeker, which is the biggest supporter of farmers in the region. The Sukkar Şeker Management emphasized their unity and solidarity in striving towards their new goals during the excitement of delivering their first products. Speaking at the campaign opening, Sukkar Şeker’s General Manager, Necati Karavaizoğlu, announced that in addition to producing 84,000 tons of granulated sugar, they will also produce 150,000 tons of pressed sugar beet pulp, 20,000 tons of molasses, and 18,000 tons of tailings as by-products by the end of December. Necati Karavaizoğlu, General Manager of Sukkar Şeker, stated in his opening speech, “As Sukkar Şeker Production Inc., we have started our work this year, just like every year, to achieve our goals.”
